Our Story

Co-Founder and CEO Jenny Gallagher was an executive at AARP in Washington, D.C. when she began to feel the weight of trying to help her aging mother in California. Jenny and her siblings arranged care for their mother, but there was always something missing. Her mother finally opened up that, while she had aids around her providing care, she was lonely and her life had become empty. She missed spending time with people with whom she had things in common and she longed for activities that gave her joy and purpose, like volunteering at her favorite museum.

Jenny realized that most families cannot afford the help their aging loved ones need, and those that can still lack the means of providing them with meaningful connections, purpose and joy. Jenny joined forces with her former colleague and long-time friend Co-Founder and CTO Shamshad Khan and Help-Full was born.
